We aim to spend some of the day on DOSI working group updates and planning, followed by a session on “A decade of deep-ocean science for sustainable development” where we will collectively plan for integration of deep ocean science into the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). We will also have discussions around science questions that need to be addressed in order to fill knowledge gaps for the conservation and sustainable use of BBNJ, and discuss requirements to lift current scientific capacity (global, regional and national) to address these questions. If this DOSI Day is of interest to you (and we would hope it is!), please do keep it in mind when booking flights and accommodation for the DSBS. We are likely to have maximum capacity for around 100 participants (TBC). We will be in touch in due course with further information concerning agenda, venue etc.In the meantime, it would be useful if you would register your intention to attend via this Google Doc, so we can gauge interest: https://goo.gl/forms/JjHVJDUQm8sccG7a2
