The project investigates the dynamical mechanisms of regional sea level variability along the coasts and shelf seas of southeast Asia and the Indonesian Archipelago building on experiments with high- resolution ocean models. The PhD Student will contribute to the development of a new configuration of the NEMO-ocean model family with regionally refined resolution, and will devise a programme of numerical experimentation to identify and understand the processes governing the variability and trends of regional sea level in this area. Requirements include; MSc or equivalent degree with a major in physics or a related discipline and experience in the analysis and interpretation of Earth System data.
