The Deep Carbon Observatory is hosting its second Early Career Scientist Workshop at the Centro De Vulcanologia e Avaliação de Riscos Geológicos (http://www.cvarg.azores.gov.pt/), University of the Azores, São Miguel (Portugal), 31 August-5 September 2015. This workshop will bring together the next generation of researchers active in deep carbon studies from around the world. This relatively small workshop (~40 scientists) of early career researchers will continue to foster collaboration and community within the growing DCO Science Network.
This workshop is funded by the Deep Carbon Observatory, and aims to support financially as many participants as possible. There is no registration fee for this workshop (accommodation and meals will be provided), and successful applicants will be eligible for up to 100% reimbursement of travel costs.
Applications are encouraged from senior graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, fellows, and newly appointed assistant professors working on all aspect of carbon science (visit the DCO website for major details,https://deepcarbon.net//).
