Promoting Consistency in the Deep Seabed: Addressing Regulatory Dimensions in Designing the International Seabed Authority’s Exploitation Code by Till Markus and Pradeep Singh (University of Bremen) which appears in the latest issue of the Review of European Community and International Environmental Law (RECIEL) journal. In the article, they set out to map the latest developments in the currently ongoing design of the regulations for exploitation of seabed minerals beyond national jurisdiction, identify some hurdles which beckons the International Seabed Authority and provide some possible options to address them, and start the discussion on onshore processing as the next step forward.
